JYP and Tencent Music Ent. sign a strategic collaboration
JYP Entertainment signs strategic collaboration with China's Tencent Music Entertainment Group (hereinafter referred to as TME).
In accordance with this collaboration, JYP will supply music to social entertainment platforms including QQ Music, Kugou Music, Kuwo Music and WeSing, and various videos and music sources under TME.
TME said, "We are pleased to work with JYP to create more content value and provide it to hundreds of millions of music fans in China. JYP is Korea's leading record label with excellent artists and is particularly well received by younger generations, including our platform music fans," said TME. This strategic collaboration not only provides users with a differentiated music entertainment experience based on TME's outstanding music research, online music marketing, and recommendation functions, but also provides K-pop cultural exchange by utilizing the broad values of JYP artists."
Through this collaboration, JYP's leading artists such as Park Jin-young, 2PM, Bernard Park, DAY6 (Day6), Twice, Stray Kids, and ITZY are expected to expand their influence in China and make global activities.
